Basics about 2024
According to the Chinese calendar, the coming year 2024 will pass under the auspices of the Green Wood Dragon. It will begin on February 10, 2024 and end on January 28, 2025.
The Dragon is the fifth in a cycle of 12 animals that appear in the Chinese Zodiac (the first being the Rat).
In Chinese culture, dragons are the most respected animals (the emperors of the Celestial Empire were even considered the reincarnation of these creatures). In addition, most people associate dragons with wisdom, knowledge, strength, power, wealth and prosperity.
According to Chinese beliefs, the Dragon personifies the elements of the Earth (patience, thoughtfulness, practicality, hard work, stability). Its symbol is considered to be a tree (new beginning, growth, progress, creativity, innovation).
People born in the year of the Dragon are generous, energetic, noble, wise, loyal, passionate and determined.
“Central” colors of the New Year
Taking into account Chinese astrology and Feng Shui, the main colors of the Dragon are:
- emerald green
- golden yellow
- deep red

If you don’t like the above palette, or for some reason it’s not suitable, you can choose clothes or accessories in the following colors to celebrate the New Year 2024:

- violet
At the same time, you should not dress in dark colors and shades (dark blue, dark gray, black, brown). To complement the New Year’s holiday look, you can add bright accessories – sequins, rhinestones, stones, or bright jewelry.
