What to do, how to water an orchid so that it blooms

After you bring an orchid from the store, it blooms for several months. And then, instead of blooming again after a certain rest, it begins to wither.

What to do to make an orchid bloom

Experts advise “watering” the orchid with ice and adding pieces of ice to the flower pot from time to time. In this way, the plant is forced to be under stress, after which it begins to actively bloom.

Flower growers also suggest feeding the plant with homemade fertilizers.

Banana peel infusion

They contain a lot of phosphorus, nitrogen and magnesium. Banana infusion accelerates photosynthesis; after using it, the leaves of the plant become shiny and the flowers more vibrant.

To prepare the infusion, pour washed banana skins with boiled water cooled to 40 degrees. Cover with a lid and place in a dark place for three days. Strain the infusion and dilute with water in a one to one ratio.

You can water a plant in a pot with an infusion of banana peels, soak the roots in it for 10 minutes if they grow not attached to the substrate, and also spray the aerial roots with it.

Decoction of onion peels

It contains a large amount of carotene, phytoncides, mineral salts and vitamins. Has an antibacterial effect.

To prepare an infusion of onion peels, pour hot water over it, let it brew for six minutes and cool. Water with strained infusion once a month. There is no need to store onion peel infusion; prepare fresh infusion every time.

Coffee or tea

These drinks contain many elements and substances necessary for plant flowering.
