Terry towels become as hard as sandpaper after constant washing. It’s unpleasant to wipe yourself with such towels; throwing them away and buying new ones is expensive.

You can try to soften the water, on which the softness of towels depends, you can use special gels, high-quality laundry detergents that do not contain aggressive chemical components such as chlorine and phosphates, add vinegar to the washing machine drum during washing. Or you can return textiles to their original properties using a homemade mixture; you have everything you need at hand. Rinse the fabric in this mixture.

To make your towels soft and fluffy you will need:

  • a couple of tablespoons of vinegar,
  • spoon of hair conditioner,
  • plain water.

Towels should be washed as usual, mix all the ingredients and soak the already washed towels in the solution.

Then hang the towels to dry. It is important that when drying the terry fabric is not exposed to direct sunlight and hot air. Otherwise, the pile will become stiff again.
