No-bake semolina cookies: crispy dessert in a frying pan in 20 minutes

Semolina cookies are prepared in a frying pan very simply and effortlessly.

If you want to have an unplanned tea party, but the shelf with sweets is completely empty, make simple and very tasty semolina cookies. It is prepared without baking in a frying pan, and during the cooking process you can add any nuts, dried fruits or favorite spices to the dough. Cookies made from semolina and kefir can also be prepared with corn grits – then they will turn out more tender and crumbly.

Semolina cookies in a frying pan with jam

No-bake cookies according to this recipe are served with jam, so they are made unsweetened. If you don’t have jam, add 4 times more sugar.

Ingredients:

  • semolina – 100 g;
  • flour – 250 g;
  • kefir – 100 g;
  • egg – 1 pc.;
  • baking powder for dough – 1 teaspoon;
  • sugar – 50 g;
  • butter – 50 g;
  • jam to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Kefir in the recipe can be replaced with milk, and butter with sunflower oil. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance to soften it.
  2. Beat the egg with sugar using a whisk. Add soft butter and kefir, stir until smooth. First add semolina, then flour and baking powder. Knead soft and thick dough. If you have time, leave it for 30 minutes to rest.
  3. Then sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough thinly. Using a knife or cookie cutters, cut out a sheet of dough.
  4. Heat a frying pan over high heat. Then place the cookies. Reduce heat to low and cover with a lid. Bake semolina cookies in a frying pan for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Serve the finished cookies without baking in a frying pan for tea with your favorite jam or jam.
