Homemade mayonnaise in three minutes: proven recipe (video)

Making your own sauce will save you a lot of money and time when preparing for the holidays.

Mayonnaise is used as a dressing for many salads. You can also use it to prepare several delicious sauces for meat and fish. The Bato_ua:country house channel shared a recipe for homemade mayonnaise, which can be prepared in literally three minutes.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • odorless vegetable oil – 400 ml;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • vinegar – 2 tbsp;
  • mustard – 1 tsp;
  • sugar – 1 tsp;
  • salt – 0.5 tsp.

Preparation

  1. To make homemade mayonnaise you will need an immersion blender and a tall glass.
  2. Pour vinegar into a glass, add salt, sugar and mustard. Pour in vegetable oil. Carefully break two eggs into a glass so that the yolks remain intact.
  3. Lower the immersion blender into the glass and press it to the bottom so that the dome covers the yolks. At maximum power, start beating the mayonnaise without lifting the blender from the bottom of the glass. After 10 seconds, begin to slowly raise and lower the blender to blend the sauce faster. Whisk until all the butter is emulsified. This will take no more than a minute. From this amount of products you will get approximately 500 ml of mayonnaise.
  4. Important! You can adjust the thickness of mayonnaise by changing the amount of oil. The more oil you add, the thicker the mayonnaise will be. If you need a thinner sauce, reduce the amount of oil by 50 ml.
  5. You can replace the vinegar in the recipe with lemon juice, but in this case the shelf life of the mayonnaise will be reduced to three days.

Based on homemade mayonnaise, you can make several sauces for meat or fish:

  • with French mustard;
  • with pickles and olives;
  • with garlic and herbs.

To make the sauce, grind the desired ingredients in any way and mix with mayonnaise.
