Delicious dish for dinner: how to properly cook chicken legs in a frying pan

All you need is chicken and seasonings.

If you like fried chicken but don’t want to heat up the oven, you can cook the chicken in a skillet.

To prepare this dish you only need three ingredients: chicken, aromatic herbs and wine, but if you don’t have wine at home, you don’t need to add it. We used rosemary and bay leaves, but you can season the chicken with sage, marjoram, or thyme. The recipe was shared on the Cucchiaio website.

If you don’t have broth, you can simply add a couple of tablespoons of hot water.

Fried chicken legs

Ingredients:

  • 6 chicken legs;
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil;
  • rosemary and bay leaf (or aromatic herbs to taste);
  • half a glass of white wine;
  • a few tablespoons of vegetable broth if necessary;
  • salt pepper.

Preparation:

  1. To prepare fried chicken legs, first remove most of the skin from the chicken. Wash the legs and dry thoroughly. Heat three tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan and fry the meat over high heat. Add seasonings.
  2. Turn them over and continue cooking for a few more minutes. Add white wine and let it evaporate.
  3. Reduce heat, cover and cook meat over low heat for 40 minutes. Check occasionally and add a few tablespoons of hot vegetable broth if necessary. Serve the fried chicken legs immediately.
