Crispy potato sticks: a recipe for an original dish for dinner

Crispy potato sticks are a dish that lovers of fried potatoes will surely appreciate. Culinary blogger Svetlana Bauer told and showed how to cook them. Children will especially like these sticks, and if you serve them with ketchup or any other sauce, there will be no trace of them left after just a couple of minutes.

Crispy potato sticks

Ingredients:

  • potatoes – 5 pcs;
  • dry garlic – 1 tsp;
  • paprika – 1 tsp;
  • salt – 0.5 – 1 tsp;
  • starch – 100 g;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Cooking method:

  • Wash, peel, cut the potatoes into cubes and boil in salted water. Then drain the water, add dried garlic, paprika, pepper to the potatoes and add salt if necessary. Make puree without lumps. Stir in the starch and puree everything again until smooth.
  • Place the resulting dough on parchment paper, cover the top with another sheet of paper and roll the mass into a pancake 0.5-1 cm thick. Cut it into strips of the same width.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the potato sticks in it on both sides until golden brown. Place on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
