There are three things that are literally killing our nails.

The health of our nails is influenced by many factors. This includes the state of the body, nutrition, lifestyle, and many external factors. But there are three things that are literally killing our nails.

How often do we damage our nails when we bite them, remove the coating from them, or do housework without gloves. In addition, not everyone watches their diet and forgets to regularly take vitamins and microelements, which are important for the beauty and health of their nails.

Dermatologist Lindsey Zubritsky named the three main things that destroy nails.

Aggressive nail polish removal

When you have gel or shellac on your nails that has already grown out considerably or is peeling off at the edges, you are tempted to remove it aggressively, in other words, rip it off your nails. By doing this, you completely destroy the nail bed. You make it really unhealthy, thin and brittle.

Lack of UV protection

The dermatologist believes that you cause serious damage to your nails and skin under UV lamps when doing a manicure. To minimize this harm, Lindsey recommends using sunscreen or wearing fingerless gloves.

Insufficient hydration

One of the worst things for your nails is lack of moisture. It is necessary to regularly moisturize the cuticles and skin of the hands. Using moisturizing hand and cuticle creams should become a daily ritual if you want to have healthy and beautiful nails.
