Beef steak is very tasty.

Classic steak is a tasty and simple dish. Beefsteak is prepared from fresh beef tenderloin. It is fried on the outside until golden brown, and before that it is beaten with a culinary hammer. You only need four ingredients. And you will have the perfect steak.

It is best to cook a steak in a grill pan, then it will definitely turn out crispy, but if you don’t have such a pan in your arsenal, then a deep frying pan with a thick bottom will do. The recipe was shared on the Gastronom website.

Steak

Ingredients:

  • beef tenderloin – 400 g
  • salt, ground black pepper, vegetable oil.

Preparation:

  1. Trim excess fat from beef tenderloin and pat dry with paper towel. Cut two three-centimeter thick slices from a large piece of beef tenderloin. Cut the meat at right angles across the grain.
  2. Lightly beat the cut pieces with a serrated mallet. But do it carefully so that the steak remains plump.
  3. Season the chopped steak with coarse salt and pepper. You can use only black pepper, or you can use a mixture of peppers.
  4. You can add rosemary or thyme if desired. These seasonings are “friends” with meat.
  5. Place the pan on the stove and turn the heat to high until the pan is hot. Grease it with vegetable oil and add slices of meat. But not next to each other, there should be some space between them.
  6. Fry over high heat on one side for about 4-7 minutes. Then fry the other side for the same amount of time.
  7. Choose the frying time based on the degree of frying you want to achieve. If you like rare meat, fry the meat for about four minutes. If you like well-done meat, fry longer.

Serve the finished steak with a sprig of rosemary. The ideal side dish for steak is French fries or vegetable salad.
